My name is Dominic Hurley and I have set up running my own businessdomhurley.co.uk under an initiative set up by Rotherham Princes Trust. I have become very
involved in web page My own site that has work that Ive already done, work Im in the process of doing and my CV and portfolio can be found at www.domhurley.co.uk. I graduated from studying at The Sheffield College, for a HND in Design Communications. My HND course at the
Norton Centre of Sheffield College was designated a Centre of Excellence
in Design Education. The course itself, related very strongly towards
industrial needs, it included live briefs set by the design & communication
industry and nationwide competitions. While at College I embarked on a placement period at Sky Television where I was involved in creating the opening sequences for television and films. Quite a bit of work
was done in the news section where everything had to be kept up to date
using the software systems that they used. A 3 month contract
has just been completed working at the BBC in Leeds as part of the online
team. Here I was heavily involved in the running of the web site that
is www.bbc.co.uk/leeds. I feel I became an integral part of the team and
gained valuable experience of the BBC working environment. A number of the types
of software I have become proficient in the use of include Dreamweaver,
Director, Firworks, Flash, Freehand, Photoshop, Quark Xpress, Premiere,
cubase and cakewalk. My main computer is
an apple macintosh but I also use a PC as my second computer. Dominic Hurley dom@domhurley.co.uk www.domhurley.co.uk |
