Welcome to the Headway Doncaster web shop.
Here's a great way to get some great online bargains, find cheaper gas, electricity and telephone services and even book your Summer Holiday. Don't forget that anything you buy through the shop will raise money for our fundraising.
So go on, top up your CD or DVD collection, or if you're making business purchases, why not make them from here, such as computer equipment from Novatech. Don't forget to make the shop your homepage and make this the first place to look when you go shopping!

Headway Events

Headway Doncaster meets for a monthly social meeting.
The meetings alternate between ten pin bowling and meals out.
They are usually held on a Wednesday evening any at the end of the month.

Each month a committee meeting is also held and this is also on a Wednesday evening, anyone who is not a committee member but would like to attend is more than welcome as we are always keen to get new members involved.

We also have an annual meeting usually around April time to elect the committee for the forthcoming year.

Annual General Meeting

Each year Headway UK organises a weekend away that has a conference feel to. However, it but is much more informal and has plenty of time allowed for socialising and sharing ideas with other Headway’s from across the country. The weekend has something for everyone involved, survivors, cares or professionals.

The Way Ahead 2006

We also arrange local speakers who talk about brain injury issues and services available.

• Educational talks for 2006

Another annual event is Brain Injury Awareness Week, usually in March time. This is an opportunity to focus our attempts to raise local understanding of brain injury. We usually do this by having display stands in either hospitals or public places. We also use the opportunity to meet with local MP’s to increase their understanding and this also results in a photo in the local news.

• Brain Injury Awareness 2006

We have in the past had events that we have organised between other groups and branches across our region and we hope to plan more of these events in the future.

All of these events can be seen at a glance on our calendar for the year.
